Metal with a reason. Fiber with a purpose.
TA2 commercially pure titanium is here for its weight, corrosion resistance, and the color formed directly in its oxide layer—not for an alloy-grade number a brush handle does not need. The crystalline finish comes from anodizing, not paint or a surface wrap.
6061 aluminum keeps the same machined intent at a lighter weight. Two Band Badger brings natural-fiber backbone and softening tips; Synthetic is consistent from the first use, dries faster, and avoids animal fiber.

Frequently Asked Questions
Why does my Harbor brush order take longer to ship?
Every Harbor brush is built to your configuration. After the knot is bonded to the handle, it cures for 24–48 hours within the quoted dispatch window before packing. This ensures a permanent, reliable bond between handle and knot.
Are handles and knots sold separately?
No. Harbor brushes are sold as configured builds only. You select your handle series, finish, size, and knot type through the configurator, and the brush is assembled and shipped as a complete unit.
Is my knot size compatible with my handle?
Yes. The configurator enforces all size and compatibility rules. A 24 mm handle is paired only with a 24 mm knot, and a 26 mm handle only with a 26 mm knot; knot type is also filtered by series. You cannot submit an invalid combination.
Why can't I pair an Aluminum Line handle with a Badger knot?
The Aluminum Line is the entry-level series, designed to be paired with Synthetic knots. Badger knots are reserved for the TA2 Titanium Line and the 6061 Aluminum Axis, where the handle material and build quality match the knot tier.
Can I put a synthetic knot on the TA2 Titanium Line?
Yes. The TA2 Titanium Line takes either a Two Band Badger knot or any of the synthetic knots. Badger is the flagship pairing — natural fiber that holds water and builds lather the traditional way; synthetic is vegan, dries faster, and costs less. Both are bonded and cured to the same standard on the titanium handle.
What is the difference between AIO and Split on the Axis?
AIO (All-In-One) is a single-piece handle machined from one billet of aluminum, weighing 97 g. Split is a two-piece design that threads together, weighing 110 g. Both share the same outer dimensions. The choice comes down to weight preference and feel in hand.
